Walnut Street Public Library experiments with form to maximize passive heating, cooling, and lighting strtagies. The U-shaped form creates an outdoor amphitheater that provides relief to the street-lined facades of Center City Philadelphia. The translucent double-skin facade givs the
interior diffuse light and becomes a lantern to attract people to the space light up the street at night. This project was completed in the Spring of 2023 at Temple University.
